Dear Valued Customers,

Further to our update from yesterday, December 20th, and in follow up to advisories dated December 12th and December 17th, regarding the Congestion Surcharge, we would like to provide you with an update.

We are announcing the following changes to the Congestion Surcharge as highlighted below:

Scope: World to U.S. West Coast (Imports):
UPDATE: Effective date will now be January 14, 2012.
UPDATE: The amounts of the surcharge for World to U.S. West Coast imports will change as follow and are applicable to both dry and reefer shipments:
USD 320 per 20’ container
USD 400 per 40’ STD
USD 450 per 40’ HC
USD 506 per 45’ container
All other details previously communicated remain unchanged as highlighted below:
Scope: U.S. West Coast Exports to the World:
No change to effective date.
This remains January 21, 2013.
No change to rate levels:
USD 800 per 20’ container
USD 1000 per 40’ STD
USD 1125 per 40’ HC
USD 1266 per 45’ container
Scope: All shipments to/from ports in the United States (excluding U.S. West coast exports/imports to the world):
No change to Effective Date.
This remains December 29, 2012.
No change to rate levels:
USD 800 per 20’ container
USD 1000 per 40’ STD
USD 1125 per 40’ HC
USD 1266 per 45’ container
This Port Congestion Surcharge (CON) applicable to all shipments to/from ports in the United States. This also includes import shipments to the United States that are routed through Canada.

Please note this is a forward filing as precaution to address the potential for congestion as result of possible labor actions. Should there be no labor action and subsequent congestion disrupting operations, this tariff filing will be nullified.
